Little Falls, NJ - The Atlantic City Surf rebounded from Wednesday afternoon's 9-1 loss by defeating the Jackals 7-2, helping them split the four game series with the Jackals at two games apiece.

Brian Rodaway, the Can-Am League leader in wins, was too much for the Jackals to handle as he went seven innings, scattering seven hits and allowing one run.

The Surf got off to a fast start against Jackals' starter Isaac Pavlik, scoring three runs in the first frame of the game. Center fielder Lucas Taylor and third baseman Anthony Granato both singled to lead off the inning and would come around to score on an RBI triple by left fielder Ed Montague. Montague would come around to score in the next at bat on a sacrifice fly by designated hitter Wil Quintana.

Second baseman Joe Mihalics brought the Jackals closer with an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth, but the Jackals would not score again until the bottom of the ninth.

The Surf managed to put the game away for good in the top of the seventh inning when they rallied for three runs. After Jackals' reliever Steve Spitaleri record the first two outs the Surf rallied for four straight basehits, including three straight RBI doubles by first baseman Joe Burke, right fielder Robert Fischer, and catcher Wally Rosa. Rosa finished the game going 4-5 with an RBI.

Brian Rodaway took the victory for the Surf, defeating Pavlik and the Jackals.
