New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - One week after returning from a road trip to the West Coast, the New England Revolution is set to embark on a stretch in which it plays seven of its next nine regular-season games at home, beginning with a match against the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday, July 11, at Gillette Stadium. The game will be televised live on TV38 beginning at 4 p.m. ET, while the WEEI Radio Network will also carry the action.

The Revolution (4-5-4, 16 pts.) returned to league action last weekend for the first time since June 13, dropping a hard-luck, 1-0 decision to the LA Galaxy at The Home Depot Center. Meanwhile, Kansas City (5-6-4, 19 pts.) has fallen by a score of 1-0 in consecutive games: a regular-season loss to the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, July 4, and a U.S. Open Cup loss at the hands of Seattle Sounders FC on Tuesday, July 7.

Saturday afternoon's meeting will be the third between the Revs and Wizards in a span of 29 days. The clubs have already met once in the regular season - a 3-1 Kansas City win at CommunityAmerica Ballpark - and once in SuperLiga 2009 - a 1-1 draw at Gillette Stadium.

The Revs and Wizards will be kicking off a day full of soccer at Gillette Stadium, as a pair of CONCACAF Gold Cup matches will follow. The United States will battle Haiti at 7 p.m., while the day's action will round out when Honduras plays Grenada at 9 p.m.
