FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (13-5-8; 47 pts. - 2nd in East) played to a 2-2 draw with Austin FC (9-12-6, 33 pts. - 10th in West) at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night. Revolution forward Tomás Chancalay registered a brace in his second start for the club as New England is now the lone team in MLS unbeaten at home this season with a 10-0-4 mark. The Revolution have now gone 15 straight home matches without a defeat, two shy of the equaling the club record.

Austin FC took the lead in the 27th minute through Emiliano Rigoni, sending a bouncing a shot over an outstretched Earl Edwards Jr. The Revolution goalkeeper made his third straight start, collecting three saves. New England responded just over one minute later as Chancalay scored his first MLS goal, firing home a shot from six yards out. Carles Gil and Ian Harkes combined on the right-hand flank to create the opportunity.

Chancalay gave the Revolution an advance two minutes into the second half, heading home a cross from Nacho Gil at the back post, marking the Spaniard's first career MLS assist. Chancalay led the attack with a team-high five shots, including three on target, while Carles Gil led the team with five chances created. Chancalay becomes the first Revolution player since the elder Gil in 2019 to record a multi-goal game within his first three appearances for the club.

With New England on the verge of claiming all three points, Austin FC netted the equalizer deep into second-half stoppage time through Alex Ring. The result snapped the Revolution's streak of six consecutive home wins in league play, though New England remains undefeated at home across the past 15 games (11-0-4) dating back to October 2022 - the club's second-longest unbeaten run.

New England now heads on the road for three consecutive matches, beginning on Saturday, September 9 at Minnesota United FC. TEAM NOTES

New England improved to 10-0-4 at home this season, extending its unbeaten run at Gillette Stadium to 15 games (11-0-4) in MLS play dating back to last October.

The Revolution are now the only MLS team without a home loss in 2023.

As of the game's conclusion, New England's 45 goals scored are fourth most in MLS.

Tomás Chancalay tallied his first two goals in MLS, becoming the first Revolution player to record a multi-goal game within his first three appearances for the club since Carles Gil in 2019.

Nacho Gil distributed his first MLS assist tonight in his second MLS start of the season. Nacho Gil tallied three chances created along with a team-high three tackles won.

Carles Gil made his 125th MLS appearance, marking the occasion with a game-high five chances created. Carles Gil added team highs in duels won (8), fouls won (4), and dribbles completed (3).

Ben Sweat made a second straight start at left back, recording team highs in recoveries (6) and interceptions (2) over a 90-minute effort.
