FC Cincinnati News Release
FC Cincinnati dropped a 1-0 result Saturday night to Orlando City SC in front of a sellout crowd of 25,513 at TQL Stadium.
FCC fell to 17-4-6 (57 points) with the club's first MLS home loss since October 1, 2022. Orlando improved to 13-6-8 (47 points).
Cincinnati will head into the international break with a 10-point lead in the Supporters' Shield standings over three clubs level on 47 points (St. Louis CITY SC, New England Revolution, Orlando City SC).
Orlando City's leading goal scorer Facundo Torres notched his 11th of the season in the 44th minute to give the visitors their lone goal of the night. Ramiro Enrique, who came on as a first-half substitute for injured Duncan McGuire, assisted on the goal, pushing his attacking move to the Cincinnati end line and finding Torres in the middle of the box where the forward collected and finished.
The Orange and Blue were shutout at home for the first time since the 2022 home opener, a 1-0 loss to D.C. United on March 5, 2022.
FC Cincinnati return to action in two weeks on Saturday, September 16 at Philadelphia Union. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and the match will stream exclusively on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Fans can also listen to the match locally on Fox Sports 1360.
