
Nets Recall Tornike Shengelia from Springfield Armor

Brooklyn, NY - The Brooklyn Nets have recalled forward Tornike Shengelia from the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by General Manager Billy King. Shengelia was assigned to Springfield on February 28.
In six games for the Armor this season, the rookie forward holds D-League averages of 26.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.7 steals per game on 57.7% shooting from the field. On his most recent three-game assignment, the 6-8 native of Georgia averaged 25.3 points including a double-double (21 points and 10 rebounds) March 1 at Fort Wayne. Shengelia posted a franchise-high tying 39 points to go along with 18 rebounds on January 24 after posting a triple double with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists in his D-League debut December 21.
