
Naturals Win First Game of Double Header, 4-2

Tulsa, OK - The Naturals used a big sixth inning to win the first game of a double header with Tulsa 4-2.
The Naturals (38-24) scored the game's first run in the top of the first. With one out, Chris McConnell roped a double into left field.Derrick Robinson then laid down a bunt for a single, and McConnell was able to score on the play thanks to a Drillers' error.
Tulsa (25-35) quickly tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth. With two outs, Scott Beerer sent a base hit into center field. Daniel Mayora then brought Beerer home with a double to center field.
The Naturals broke the tie in the sixth inning by scoring three runs. Mike Moustakas was the first base runner, as he reached on a two out base hit to right field. Clint Robinson was then walked, which put two men on base for the Naturals. Nick Van Stratten then singled to left, which brought Moustakas home for the go ahead run. Anthony Seratelli was then issued a two out walk, which loaded the bases. Tim Smith then came through with a base hit to right field that brought both Robinson and Van Stratten home. The inning ended with the Naturals holding a 4-1 lead.
The Drillers did not go away, as they scored a run in the bottom half of the sixth. Charles Blackmon led the inning off with a solo home run over the right field wall. The shot cut the Naturals' lead to just two runs. However, that is as close as the Drillers would get with the Naturals holding on for a 4-2 victory.
Brandon Sisk (3-2) picked up the victory for the Naturals. Sisk pitched three and a third in relief, gave up one earned run, and struck out one. Starter Mike Montgomery pitched three and two thirds in a no decision. Montgomery gave up one earned run, and struck out three.
Bruce Billings (5-4) suffered the loss for Tulsa. Billings pitched five and two thirds, gave up four earned runs, and struck out five.
