
Naturals Erase Three-Run Deficit in Win over Frisco

SPRINGDALE, Arkansas - The Frisco RoughRiders held an early 3-0, but fell 7-3 to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Wednesday afternoon from Arvest Ballpark.
The RoughRiders (26-32) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI groundout from Aaron Zavala and an RBI single from Kellen Strahm before adding another run in the second on a Naturals (22-37) error to make it 3-0.
Northwest Arkansas then scored five runs in the third and two more in the fifth to take their 7-3 lead and never looked back.
Luisangel Acuña, Thomas Saggese and Jax Biggers all collected two hits for the Riders.
On the mound, Nick Krauth (1-4) took the loss for Frisco in his start, ceding five runs over his four innings while Yefri Del Rosario (4-2) earned the win with two shutout innings from the bullpen for the Naturals.
Kyle Funkhouser and Theo McDowell both threw scoreless innings for the Riders in the defeat.
Frisco meets with the Naturals for game three of the six-game series in Springdale at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, June 15th. RHP Seth Nordlin (0-0, 6.00) is scheduled to start for the Riders against RHP Jonathan Bowlan (1-4, 7.20).
