
Natalie Achonwa Injury Update

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced that an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) taken at Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis on forward Natalie Achonwa confirmed the diagnosis of a right hamstring strain. She will be out indefinitely and further updates will be issued when available.
The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of the May 8 contest against the Washington Mystics. Achonwa, in her second season with Minnesota, contributed a total of five points, two rebounds and one assist in the two contests she's appeared this year. Last season, the seven-year veteran averaged 3.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 12.0 minutes per game for the Lynx.
The Lynx return home to take on the Chicago Sky on Saturday, May 14 at Target Center. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. CT and will broadcast on Bally Sports North Extra and NBA TV.
