Lynx Notes

Sylvia Fowles led Minnesota in both points and rebounding, securing her 181st career double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. She shot 12-of-17 from the field and tallied 22 points in the paint.

Per Across The Timeline, Fowles now has five games in her WNBA career with 20-plus points, 13-plus rebounds, four-plus steals, and two-plus blocks. The next-closest players, Lisa Leslie and Tamika Catchings, only have two games each.

For the second consecutive game, Jessica Shepard marked a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Shepard also added a career-high and game-high nine assists, just one assist shy of her first ever triple-double.

Coming off the bench, Rachel Banham scored 14 points in 24:34 minutes of play. Banham hit three triples in the third quarter to bring Minnesota's deficit to just one, the smallest deficit since Indiana took control of the lead at the beginning of the second quarter. Banham added four assists and two boards.

In 33:08 minutes of play, Bridget Carleton scored eight points on 4-of-8 shooting and added six defensive rebounds.

In her first start in a Minnesota uniform, Yvonne Turner contributed six points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 33:56 minutes of play.

The team announced before tipoff the signing of Rennia Davis to a hardship contract. Davis, in her first WNBA regular season game, came off the bench to add three points.

Team Notes

Minnesota dominated on points-in-the-paint with a 48-26 advantage over Indiana.

Minnesota outrebounded Indiana 40-34, with 25 coming on the defensive glass. Fowles had eight defensive boards while Carleton added six.

The Lynx host the 2021 WNBA Champion Chicago Sky on Saturday, May 14 at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. Tip is slated for 7:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted on Bally Sports North and NBA-TV.

Indiana Notes

Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with 26 points, connecting on 9-of-16 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Mitchell also added four rebounds, three assists and one steal.
