He's hitting .382 (29-for-76) with 14 runs, 11 RBI, 5 doubles, 2 home runs and 8 walks during the streak that is the second-longest active streak in the Pacific Coast League. Martini's streak is tied for the 5th-longest (Joe Koshansky - '10) by a Sounds player in the PCL era. Adam Hyzdu has the 4th-longest streak by a Sounds player when he hit safely in 19 straight games during the 2001 season.

49 and Counting: Nick Martini extended his on-base streak to 49 games last night with a single in the fifth inning. He's hitting .343 (60-for-175) with 33 runs, 27 RBI, 10 doubles, 5 home runs and 36 walks during the streak that is the longest in Minor League Baseball. Martini surpassed Fresno's Tyler White who had a 45-game on-base streak from April 5-May 24. The 49-game streak is the longest by a Nashville Sounds player in the Pacific Coast League era.

Crazy Eight for Garcia: Outfielder Anthony Garcia has hit safely in eight straight games for Nashville. During his season-long hitting streak, he's hitting .400 (12-for-30) with 9 RBI, 7 runs, 3 home runs, 1 double and 3 walks.

Twice is Nice: Garcia drilled two home runs in last night's loss, his second multi-homer game of the season (5/3 at Colorado Springs) and seventh two-homer game in his career. It's the sixth time a Sounds player has hit two home runs in a game this season. Joining Garcia is Jorge Mateo, Franklin Barreto, Nick Martini and Jake Smolinski.

Mateo is Climbing: Jorge Mateo's three-hit game last night has lifted his average to .222 - the highest it has been since it was .222 entering the game at Iowa on April 19. Mateo has hit safely in five consecutive games and is hitting .262 (11-for-42) in June after hitting .250 (23-for-92) in May and .172 (15-for-87) in April.
