Quiet Bats: The Sounds mustered just a single run last night in their 5-1 defeat to the I-Cubs. It was the 10th time this season Nashville has scored one run or fewer. They are near the bottom of the PCL in runs scored with 255, which is tied for 12th and have scored three or fewer runs on 21 occasions this season. Only four teams have scored three runs or less in a game more often than Nashville.

Earning the Call Up: Matt Olson's hot bat as of late earned a call up to Oakland today. His 14 home runs are tied with teammate Renato Nunez and Fresno's Derek Fisher for second most in the PCL. He leads the team in runs batted in (37), total bases (103), walks (26), second in hits (51), and tied for second most doubles (10). Since May 18 he is batting .356 (21-for-59) with 10 runs scored, six doubles, five home runs, and 14 runs driven in.

Milestones and Record Books: Jaycob Brugman needs two doubles to reach the century mark in his career and Matt Chapman is three runs away from 200 in his career. With another hit last night, Joey Wendle is now two hits away from cracking the top ten on the Sounds all-time list. Two more hits would put in a tie for 10th on that list with Keith Lockhart and Eric Farris at 347.
