From the Notes

Garcia Blasts #14: Outfielder Anthony Garcia hit his team-high 14th home run of the season with a two-run smash in the fifth inning last night. Garcia's single-season high came in 2012 when he hit 19 with Single-A Quad Cities. The slugger hit 16 last year with Double-A Springfield (15) and Triple-A Memphis (1).

Walking with Franklin: Infielder Franklin Barreto had two more walks last night - his seventh two-walk game of the year with Nashville. When the 22-year-old was optioned to the Sounds on July 3, he had only one walk in 52 at-bats with Oakland. Barreto has 25 walks in 166 at-bats with Nashville. His season-single high is 36 with Double-A Midland in 2016.

Building a Wahl in the Ninth: Closer Bobby Wahl converted his 10th save of the season last night with a five-out performance. It's the first time a Sounds reliever has had double-digit saves since Rob Wooten saved 14 games and Donovan Hand saved 13 games in 2014. Wahl's single-season high came in 2016 when he saved 14 with Double-A Midland (10) and Nashville (4).

Run at Your Own Risk: Ramón Laureano notched his team-leading 10th outfield assist of the season last night when he threw out Jason Vosler trying to stretch a single into a double. Laureano's 10 outfield assists have come in only 42 games. Only Tyrone Taylor of Colorado Springs (13) and Adolis Garcia of Memphis (12) have more. Taylor has played in 69 games and Garcia has played in 67.
