June 22, 2023 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Nashville SC News Release
The Boys in Gold travel to the Buckeye State to face off against the Columbus Crew.
Nashville SC's 10-match league unbeaten streak came to an end after a 1-0 midweek loss to CF Montréal at Stade Saputo, but the Boys in Gold have a chance to continue building towards a post-season run with this Saturday's matchup against the Crew at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Boys in Gold and the Crew have a perfectly even record (2W-2D-2L) across six matches. The last meeting between the two sides came less than a month ago at GEODIS Park, a 3-1 win for the Boys in Gold.

A Short Memory - With Wednesday's match behind the team, the Boys in Gold are already preparing for this weekend's match.
"We haven't lost in quite a while," said defender Jack Maher. "With that being said, it's just the mindset of 'over and next.' Wins happen, losses happen, ties happen, but we have a short memory span here. I think that's something that Gary really preaches. I think that's been one of the best things that has made us successful this year, that regardless of a win, loss, or draw, we're always focused on the next one, and we're always preparing the next day."
Player Status Update - In his press conference after the Montréal match, head coach Gary Smith gave an update on a handful of players.
"Walker, we'll have to see how he is after tonight," Smith said. "He came back, he was sore today, it was a problem, it was unexpected. I was very keen to have him in from the start [against Montréal]. He's given a good 25 minutes. Lukas is in a good place. He may well be available for the weekend. As far as Teal is concerned, we'll see how he is. It's going to be touch and go for the weekend. If that's the case, we got to utilize the players we have available."
