
Nailers Acquire Elgin Reid From Elmira

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the âAA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have acquired the rights to Elgin Reid from the Elmira Jackals in exchange for Steve McJannet, it was announced today by team President Jim Brooks. As per club policy, no further terms were disclosed.
Reid, 24, a native of Milton,ONT, scored 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists) in 5 games last season for the Elmira Jackals.
The 6-0, 180 pound defensemen posted 8 goals and 34 assists for 42 points in 2007-08 with the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL. Reid also posted 92 penalty minutes while in Windsor.
