August 26, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® announced today that center Matt Beaudoin (pronounced - BO-dwan) has agreed to terms for the 2008-09 season. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"I'm excited to bring Matt Beaudoin back to Las Vegas," said General Manager Glen Gulutzan. "He is a very skilled young man who really enjoyed a great rookie year in Dayton. He should provide scoring up front for us and help strengthen up the middle of the ice."

The Wranglers re-obtained the centerman's rights this summer after trading the forward to Dayton on October 22nd for future considerations. Prior to the trade, Beaudoin picked up an assist in his only game with Las Vegas. Beaudoin erupted for 38 goals and 30 assists for 68 points in 61 games with the Bombers. His 38 goals finished fourth overall in the ECHL and second among first-year players. Beaudoin tallied 16 power-play goals to lead the ECHL last season. The 69 total points placed sixth among all rookies in the league. The 24-year old earned AHL call ups to Hershey, Rochester and Iowa, playing in a total of 11 games without registering a point.

Prior to turning pro, the second-year center played four seasons at The Ohio State University, scoring 52 goals and assisting on 37 others for 89 points in 149 NCAA games.

Beaudoin's addition brings the Wranglers 2008-09 roster to six. The center joins defensemen Bret Tyler, Jason Dest and Mike Madill, as well as forwards Tyler Mosienko and Brandon Kaleniecki.

2008-09 season ticket packages are selling now at (702) 471-PUCK. The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. Opening night is scheduled for Thursday, October 23rd at the Orleans Arena.
