The Washington Mystics will keep the action rolling with its first two-day basketball clinic for Kids on August 18th and 19th. If you are a hoopster between the ages of 10 and 16 and want to learn from the pros, sign up today for the "Mystics Kids Clinic" at www.washingtonmystics.com or by calling 202-628-3200 ext. 4574.
Mystics Kiesha Brown will host M.A.D. making a difference, basketball camp at the National Capital YMCA on Rhode Island Ave. The camp will run from Friday, August 20th to Sunday August 22nd. For more information please visit www.washingtonmystics.com or call 202-832-8508.
The Washington Mystics will host campaign night on September 7th when the Mystics take on the Sacramento Monarchs. Fans who buy a lower level ticket will have a choice between a George W. Bush or John Kerry bobblehead. Tickets can be purchased at 202-661-5050 or at 202-397-SEAT.
The Washington Mystics "Basketball & Books" program will feature former Secretary of State, Dr. Madeleine Albright. Dr. Albright will be discussing her book, MADAME SECRETARY: A Memoir on Thursday, September 9th from 6:00-6:45p.m. Basketball & Books will be followed by the Mystics vs. the New York Liberty at 7:00 p.m. To order your tickets and sign up for the FREE book discussion with Dr. Madeleine Albright, contact the Mystics Box Office at 202.661.5100. Most Improved Player: What a difference a year makes for Nakia Sanford. Already this season she has set a career high in a number of categories. Against Connecticut on 7/30 she set a career high in minutes with 29 and points with 13. In that game Sanford also had her first career double-double with 13 points and a career high 10 rebounds.
Home Sweet Home: The Mystics have already played 13 games at home and currently lead the WNBA in home attendance. So far this season, 173,124 fans have come to MCI Center. Washington's averaging 13,317 fans.
Must Be On TV: The Mystics have had eight games broadcasted on television so far this season. Washington currently holds a 5-3 record when the team is on television. The Mystics have two more games left on its broadcast schedule.

Community Corner
The Washington Mystics will host Mystics "Back to School BBQ" at Charles Barrett Recreation Center on Friday, August 20th from Noon â 2:00 p.m. As part of the team's "Read to Achieve" initiative, players will speak to children about the importance of staying in school, why reading is important and how to promote safety in the community.

4. What is your prized possession?
Before last week I didn't really have a PRIZED POSSESION, I'm not really materialistic. But now I would have to say my new engagement ring!
5. What was the last movie you saw in the theaters?
Collateral with Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise.
6. You are big seafood fan, where is the best place to get seafood in DC?
I really don't know THE BEST place in DC, but the Market Inn is where my parents always go for their anniversary dinner, so it must be pretty good.
7. What is the biggest difference between men and women?
Women are a lot more detail oriented...which can be good and bad at times! They don't forget ANYTHING!
8. Have you been following the Olympics and so what sports are you watching?
Of course Basketball, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Track and Field, Swimming and we actually watched the synchronized diving...amazing!
9. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to read, ride bikes, plays tennis, anything outside...including eating!
10. if you could have a designer make your wedding dress, who would it be?
Tough question! I would probably go with Vera Wang, she is somewhat traditional, but very modern at the same time with clean lines.
