
Mystics host Back to School BBQ

Washington, D.C. â The Washington Mystics will host Mystics "Back to School BBQ" at Charles Barrett Recreation Center on Friday, August 20th from Noon â 2:00 p.m. As part of the team's "Read to Achieve" initiative, players will speak to children about the importance of staying in school, why reading is important and how to promote safety in the community.
"We look forward to community events where we can interact with children and get them excited about going back to school," said Mystics Senior Vice President of Business and Basketball Operations Judy Holland Burton.
The Mystics will return to action at MCI Center on Wednesday, September 1st versus the Indiana Fever at 7:00 p.m. Individual tickets for the remainder of the season are currently on sale and can be purchased by visiting MCI Center's Box Office, calling TicketMaster Phone Charge at (202) 397-SEAT or by visiting the Mystics web site at www.washingtonmystics.com.
