Washington, D.C. - The Washington Mystics announced today that they have signed Jacki Gemelos to a seven-day contract. A 6'0 guard, Gemelos was on the roster of the Connecticut Sun and appeared in six games before being waived on Aug. 17.
On Aug. 18, the team also re-signed guard Stella Johnson. Johnson originally joined the team because of a medical hardship and has played in two games for the Mystics, averaging 4.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game. Washington also waived guard Shey Peddy who averaged 3.6 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in nine games this season.
Washington will take on the Atlanta Dream tonight at 7:00 p.m.
