
Mystics announce preseason schedule

Washington, D.C. âThe Washington Mystics announced today its preseason schedule for the 2005 season. Washington will play two games prior to the start of the regular season.
The Mystics will travel to Texas to take on the four-time WNBA champions, Houston Comets on Thursday, May 5th at 8:30 p.m. EST. Washington returns to MCI Center on Tuesday, May 10th at 7:00 p.m., to face the 2004 WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie and the Los Angeles Sparks.
"Preseason games give us the chance to gage the progress that we have made in training camp," said General Manager Linda Hargrove. "It also gives the fans the opportunity to see the efforts of our team."
Tickets for the Mystics home preseason game are $ 9.50 and will go on sale on Monday, March 7th at 10:00 a.m. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the MCI Center Box Office or calling TicketMaster Phone Charge at (202) 397-SEAT.
The 2005 Mystics season kicks off on Saturday, May 21st at 7:00 p.m. when the team travels to Charlotte to take on the Sting. Washington kicks off its home opener on Sunday, May 22nd at 6:00 p.m. versus Eastern Conference Champions Connecticut Sun.
