Mustangs Sign Two Veterans

Hoffman Estates, IL- The Chicago Mustangs, proud members of the Major Arena Soccer League (www.MASLSoccer.com), have announced two free-agent acquisitions today.

The first signing, Matthew Stewart, has over 18 years of experience playing professional soccer. Stewart is a two-time MVP at San Jacinto College and was named to the All-American team before beginning his professional career that has spanned across seven teams including two championships with the Milwaukee Wave in the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons.

Stewart was named to the 2007 U.S. National Futsal Team for the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro as well as the 2008 FIFA Futsal CONCACAF Qualifiers in which he was the leading scorer as the team placed third and advanced to the FIFA Futsal World Cup Tournament. Stewart was named captain of the squad in 2011 and led the team during the Grand Prix Futsal Tournament and the 2012 CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers.

The second signing, Semir Mesanovic, is an 8 year MISL veteran who has finished in the top-10 for league points twice in his career. Mesanovic also brings plenty of playoff experience to the Mustangs as he has played in 3 MISL finals as well as a championship with Milwaukee.
