
Chicago Mustangs Lose to Baltimore Blast, 5-10

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Chicago Mustangs, proud members of the Major Arena Soccer League (www.MASLSoccer.com), defeat the Baltimore Blast #-# on February 15th. The Chicago Mustangs start the first quarter with good possession. At 5:29, the Blast score the first goal of the game, 0-1. Ricardo Carvalho, assisted by Alexis Camarena, puts the Mustangs on the scoreboard at 8:14, 1-1. Baltimore responds with a goal at 8:36, 1-2. Great efforts from Miguel Vaca, Efrain "Wilo" Martinez and Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista result in multiple shots on goal. At 14:04, Baltimore gets another ball past Mustangs goalkeeper Jesus Flores, 1-3. The Mustangs Miguel Vaca, assisted by Efrain "Wilo" Martinez, respond with a goal at 14:37 and the quarter ends with the Mustangs down, 2-3.
The second quarter starts with the Mustangs putting a lot of pressure on the Blast. At 10:47, Ricardo Carvalho, assisted by Alexis Camarena, scores his second goal of the night, 3-3. A shot by Alexis Camarena gets blocked by the Blast defense at 12:28. Baltimore puts one in the back of the net at 13:12 and the quarter ends with the Mustangs down 3-4.
The Baltimore Blast return from halftime scoring a goal within the first minute of the quarter, 3-5. At 1:45, Chicago Mustangs Miguel Vaca, assisted by Efrain "Wilo" Martinez, scores his second goal of the night, 4-5. After an officials time out, the Blast increase their lead with back to back goals, 4-7. The Mustangs respond with a goal by Mario Alvarez, assisted by Efrain "Wilo" Martinez, 5-7. At 13:07, the game gets heated with the Mustangs receiving four penalties including Adolfo "Bofo" Bautista being ejected from the game. At 13:51, the Blast score another goal and the quarter ends with the Mustangs down 5-8.
The fourth quarter starts with Baltimore scoring a goal at 1:34, 5-9. Multiple shots by the Mustangs Efrain "Wilo" Martinez but none make it to the back of the net. At 7:48, Baltimore gets another ball past Mustangs goalie Jesus Flores, 5-10. The game ends with the Blast up by 5, 5-10.
