In the second-longest nine-inning game since 2005, the Billings Mustangs outlasted the Ogden Raptors 19-11 Sunday night at Lindquist Field.

The Mustangs grabbed the lead in the first inning, scoring five runs on a grand slam from Aristides Aquino and a sacrifice fly to Alex Greer.

The Raptors came right back with five runs of their own in the bottom of the first. Justin Chigbogu drove in a run on an error by shortstop Cory Thompson with the bases loaded. Mike Ahmed and Theo Alexander drew bases-loaded walks to force home two runs. Kelvin Ramos tied the game with a two-run single.

After the Mustangs had the only 1-2-3 inning of the night, the Raptors took the lead in the bottom of the second. Justin Chigbogu hit a two-run home run to right field, his eighth of the season, to put the Raptors ahead by two. Chigbogu's homer briefly tied Aquino for the league lead.

Aquino tied the game back up with his second home run of the game with a two-run shot to left, his ninth of the season.

After the Raptors took the lead again in the bottom of the third on an RBI groundout from Ramos and a run-scoring single by Devan Ahart, the Mustangs tied it again in the top of the fourth, 9-9. Brian O'Grady and Aquino hit consecutive RBI doubles, tying the game.

The Mustangs took the lead for good in the fifth. Ty Washington singled home Alex Greer, who doubled to start the inning. Once Cory Thompson singled to left, O'Grady doubled home Thompson and Washington to take a 12-9 lead.

Several season highs were set on Sunday. The three hours and 47 minutes the game lasted was the longest nine-inning game this season. It was the longest nine-inning game since one lasted four hours and three minutes on Aug. 30, 2006 when the Mustangs beat the Raptors 12-11.

The 19 runs and 18 hits were the most allowed by the Raptors this season.

The 30 combined runs and 32 combined hits were the most in a Raptors game this season.

The Raptors drew a season-high 13 walks, including three by Ahmed and Alexander, and left 14 men on base.

Ahart and Chigbogu's six at bats, Chigbogu's four hits, Bellinger's two doubles, and Bellinger and Chigbogu's three runs scored all tied season highs.

The Raptors and Mustangs continue their four-game series Monday. Jose De Leon will take the mound for Ogden against Luke Moran of Billings. Game starts at 7:00 and can be heard on 97.5 The Zone.
