GF ROUTS CHUKARS

The Voyagers ended their three-game losing streak with a 13-5 win at Idaho Falls Sunday. Great Falls collected a season-high 18 hits, and tied their season-high with their 13 runs. The Voyagers scored their runs in three big innings, scoring five times each in the second and fourth frames and tallying three in the fifth. Leading the way for Great Falls were Zach Fisher, who tied a Voyager era (2008-present) record with six RBIs, and Jake Peter who tied a Voyager era record with five hits, including four doubles.

MAGIC NUMBER DOWN TO 2

With the Voyager win and Missoula's loss yesterday, Great Falls magic number to clinch the first half title in the North Division is now two. This means a combination of two Voyager wins, two Osprey losses, or a Great Falls win and a Missoula loss will give the Voyagers the first half division crown and clinch Great Falls eighth straight playoff berth.

GF SWEEPS WEEKLY HONORS

Zach Fisher and Dane Stone   claimed the Pioneer League's Player and Pitcher of the Week Awards for the week of July 14-20 the league announced Monday. For Stone, it is his second Pitcher of the Week Award after taking it home last week as well. The Miami, Fla., native threw eight shutout innings in his only start of the week on July 16, giving up just three hits while lowering his league-leading ERA to 1.21 and extending his scoreless inning streak to 20. Fisher claimed the Voyagers first Player of the Week honor, after hitting .640 (16-25) with five multi-hit efforts. The Fontana, Calif., native hiked his season average to .376 with his big week, which now places him third in the league. The Great Falls backstop also drove in 14, more than doubling his season total to 27, the third-highest total in the PL. Six of those RBIs came yesterday, as Fisher tied a Voyager era record, becoming the fifth Voyager to drive in six in one game.
