
Muller, Romans to DL; Mateo, McKenzie activated

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks announced Tuesday that they have sent pitcher John Muller and outfielder Brandon Romans to the 14-day disabled list. The RiverHawks have activated pitchers Jose Mateo and Marcus McKenzie.
Muller has brachial plexus stretch nerve impingement in his pitching shoulder. He was put on the DL, retroactive to July 30. Muller is 2-3 with a 2.60 ERA and 12 saves.
Romans has a strained calf. The rookie is hitting .206 with no home runs and two RBI.
Mateo (forearm strain) and McKenzie (sprained ankle) have been out since July 20.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 17th season this summer.
