KINSTON, N.C. - Weston Wilson homered for the second straight game, Trey Supak struck out eight and took a no-hitter into the fifth, but Anderson Tejeda, Chuck LeBlanc and Alex Kowalczyk each hit home runs while leading the Wood Ducks to a sweep clinching 6-3 victory versus the Mudcats on Sunday afternoon in Kinston.

The Mudcats (11-13) led first in Sunday's loss after getting a run scoring single from Keston Hiura in the fifth. They also scored two late runs on Wilson's home run in the eighth, but were held to just 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left 10 men on base while finishing on the wrong end of a three game sweep for the first time this season.

Supak (1-1, 1.78) took a no-hitter through the fourth, but lost it after giving up a single to Chuck LeBlanc at the start of the fifth. He then allowed his first runs of the game in the sixth after giving up a three-run home run to Anderson Tejeda.

The home run gave the Wood Ducks (12-12) a 3-1 lead and was the second of only two hits allowed by Supak in his start. Supak struck out eight, walked two and allowed three runs on just two hits over five and 1/3 innings while suffering his first loss of the season.

Tejeda went 1-for-4 in the game and had struck out twice (on six pitches) over his first two at-bats against Supak before suddenly connecting on his game changing three-run home run in the sixth. The home run was also the first of three homers overall in the game as both LeBlanc and Kowalczyk homered in the seventh off reliever Alec Crawford to extend the Down East lead to 5-1 late in the game. Crawford worked through an inning and 2/3 and allowed two runs on four hits in what was his second appearance for the Mudcats on the season. Reliever Luke Barker pitched the eighth and struck out two while also allowing an unearned run out of the Carolina bullpen.

The Mudcats came back with a two-run home run from Wilson in the eighth, but did not score again while falling 6-3 in the final game of the three game series. Wilson went 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI in the series finale loss. His eighth inning home run was his third in the series, his third in two games and his fourth overall on the season.

Hiura went 2-for-3 and drove in the game's first run with a RBI single in the fifth off starter Christian Torres. Hiura's hit scored Rob Henry who had walked earlier in the fifth. Henry's walk was his seventh overall and his seventh in 15 at-bats this season (.000/.533/.000).

Torres worked through five and 1/3 innings for the Wood Ducks and struck out six in a no-decision. He also allowed just the one unearned run on four hits. James Jones (1-0, 5.23) followed and held Carolina scoreless in the sixth and seventh before turning the game over to Jairo Beras, who then gave up Wilson's two-run home run in the eighth. C.D. Pelham (S, 3) pitched the ninth and left the bases loaded while earning his third save of the season.

The Wood Ducks won the series three games to none and ran Carolina's current losing streak to four straight in the process. The Mudcats are off Monday, April 30 and next play on the road in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday, May 1 as they continue a six game road trip.
