Mudcats Roster Moves
June 4, 2007 - Southern League (SL1)
Carolina Mudcats News Release
Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have made three roster moves impacting their Double-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats, effective prior to Carolina's game tonight in Montgomery.
After drawing the loss in yesterday's game, RHP Jesus Silva has been reassigned to the Jamestown Jammers roster (New York-Penn), while RHP Jimmy Serrano has been reinstated from the temporary inactive list. Additionally, RHP Jesus Delgado has been suspended by the Southern League three games, retroactive to June 3rd, for hitting Chris Rahl in Mobile last week following a home run by Javier Brito. Delgado's suspension runs through June 5th and he is still scheduled to start the road trip finale in Montgomery on Wednesday night.
Per league rules, the Mudcats are not permitted to replace Delgado on the roster, consequently Carolina's roster stands at 23 players.
