NEWS & NOTES: - Blue Rocks Sneak Past Mudcats - Wilmington jumped out to a three run lead, and held off a late Mudcats rally to win 3-2. Blue Rocks starter Sugar Ray Marimon held Carolina to one run over 5.2 innings, despite giving up six hits.

- Full Power - The Mudcats have cranked 21 extra base hits through five games. Carolina has mashed three home runs, belted four triples, and doubled 14 times.

- Snapped - Outfielder Tyler Holt had his four-game hitting streak snapped with a 0x4 night against Wilmington Tuesday. He is still hitting .429 on the year, and leads the team with five RBI.

- Shut 'Em Down - The Mudcats bullpen has tossed 7.1 scoreless frames in a row. The group boasts one win and miniscule ERA of 1.88.

- Struck Him Out Swinging! - Cody Allen has tossed four scoreless innings over two appearances. He has faced 13 batters, allowing one hit. Allen has fanned eight.

- Carolina features five players named top-30 prospects by Baseball America. The group is led by infielders Tony Wolters (7), Ronny Rodriguez (13) and Jesus Aguilar (25). Catcher Jake Lowery (27) and starting pitcher Mike Rayl (17) round out the list.
