ZEBULON, NC - The Carolina Mudcats scored two runs in the eighth inning to escape the Wilmington Blue Rocks (2-4) 5-3 in front of 1,044 on Wednesday night at Five County Stadium.
Jake Lowery punched through the winning run for the Mudcats (4-2) with a two-out single to right in the eighth. Carlos Moncrief followed with a double of the high wall in right-center for an insurance run.
