NEWS & NOTES: - House Shines in Start - Left-hander T.J. House was lights out in his Mudcats debut on Monday night. The Picayune, Miss., native hurled seven scoreless frames and struck out a team-high nine batters.

- Full Power - The Mudcats have cranked 18 extra base hits through the first four games. Jake Lowery and Dwight Childs have each homered. The Mudcats have four triples, including two from Tyler Holt. Carolina has notched 10 doubles.

- Stay Hot - Through four games, Tyler Holt is hitting .529 with three XB hits and a team-high 5 RBI. Jesus Aguilar boasts a .412 average, Jake Lowery a .333 pace and Delvi Cid sits at .300.

- Struck Him Out Swinging! - Cody Allen has tossed four scoreless innings over two appearances. He has faced 13 batters, allowing one hit. Allen has fanned eight.

- Solid Beginning- RHP Michael Goodnight no-hit the Dash through five frames before allowing four runs in the sixth. Goodnight struck out seven in his first start of 2012.

- Carolina features five players named top-30 prospects by Baseball America. The group is led by infielders Tony Wolters (7), Ronny Rodriguez (13) and Jesus Aguilar (25). Catcher Jake Lowery (27) and starting pitcher Mike Rayl (17) round out the list.
