Mudbugs Vs. Gorillas, Teddy Bear Toss Tomorrow Night

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs are set to finish off a three-game homestand tomorrow night against the Amarillo Gorillas at 7:05 pm, presented by The Shreveport Times. The game will also feature our annual teddy bear toss, where we ask fans to bring stuffed toys to donate to Toys for Tots.
The Mudbugs are again teaming up with KTBS 3 and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program for this year's teddy bear toss. Fans coming to the CenturyTel Center tomorrow night are asked to bring with them a new stuffed toy to throw onto the ice after the first Mudbugs goal of the game. The toys will then be collected and donated to Toys for Tots, where they will be distributed to local children in need this holiday season.
Since it began in 1947, Toys for Tots has been helping less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas through its annual toy collection and distribution campaign. In addition to the stuffed toys for the teddy bear toss, fans are also welcome to bring additional types of new, unwrapped toys to the game to donate to the program.
Coming off Tuesday's convincing 6-0 victory over the Arizona Sundogs, the Mudbugs will face Amarillo for the first time in four years on Friday night at the CTC. The two teams have not played one another since a 6-1 'Bugs win in Amarillo on March 3, 2006, and the Gorillas have not visited Bossier City since March 2005. Bossier-Shreveport is on a four-game home winning streak coming into tomorrow's contest with the Gorillas.
