Mudbugs shutout RiverKings, 3-0

Another shorthanded goal led to a game-winner against the Mississippi RiverKings, as John DeCaro made 32 saves for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs to shut them out at CenturyTel Center tonight 3-0.

Brett Smith scored a man down for his second goal of the season at 7:12 of the second period. Daniel Pegoraro scored his third of the year at 11:27 on a power play, and Elias Godoy tallied at 15:14 for his second on the campaign.

In all three RiverKings losses, the opposition's game-winning goal has come shorthanded.

Sebastien Centomo made 23 saves for the RiverKings, who fell to 7-3 on the season.

The RiverKings went scoreless on the power play in seven tries. The Mudbugs went one for four en route to improving to 4-5-1 on the year.

The RiverKings will host the Youngstown SteelHounds on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
