Wichita's Sebastien Laplante Voted Performance of the Week Winner

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Wichita goaltender Sebastien Laplante and his 36-save shutout performance on November 3rd versus Oklahoma City has been voted by the fans as the winner of week three's Performance of the Week. The Thunder won the game 3-0, their first win of the season.

Laplante received 54% of the votes (1184) with his performance, while the New Mexico Scorpions' 10-0 victory over Rocky Mountain finished second with 723 votes. In all, 2182 votes were received (the most in any week this season). Laplante's performance will now be automatically considered for the 2007-08 CHL Performance of the Year which will be announced in April, 2008.

The third-year Thunder goaltender is 2-3-0 this season with a 3.86 goals against average. In his career with the Thunder, the Casselman, Ontario native is 44-29-12 with four shutouts.

The nominees for the CHL Performance of the Week for week four of the season are as follows:

Bossier-Shreveport goaltender Ken Carroll earns 22nd career CHL shutout on November 10th tying him for the most career CHL shutouts.

Youngstown scores five power play goals in 7-2 victory over Austin on November 9th.

Rocky Mountain's Simon Watson records back-to-back hat tricks on November 9th and 10th.

Tulsa's Jeff Christian notches 1000th career point in victory over Wichita on November 9th.

Youngstown takes down undefeated Laredo on the road on November 10th.
