Mudbugs Return For Two Home Games This Week

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Following the completion of their longest road trip of the season, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs are finally back on home ice this week for a pair of games at the CenturyTel Center. The 'Bugs will play host to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees tomorrow and the Wichita Thunder on Thursday, with both games set to face-off at 7:05 pm.

Tomorrow night the Mudbugs take on Rio Grande Valley for the second time this season on "Back in Black Night", presented by 98 Rocks. With the CHL All-Star break now past, tomorrow will be the first time this year the 'Bugs wear their black uniforms at home. We're asking you to do the same by dressing in all black to help us "Black Out" the Killer Bees on "Back in Black Night!"

Remember that Wednesday's game was moved from its originally scheduled date of this Friday, January 22, so season ticket holders should still use their tickets marked home game #16 to gain admission to the game tomorrow night.

Bossier-Shreveport outshot Rio Grande Valley 50-26 in the first game between the teams back on November 25, but goaltender Andy Franck and the Killer Bees held off the 'Bugs to win 5-3 behind the strength of three powerplay goals. The teams will meet a total of five times this year.

The Mudbugs will be right back at it on Thursday to battle the Wichita Thunder, presented by momslikeme.com. The Mudbugs will be recognizing moms in the crowd throughout Thursday's game and all mothers in attendance are eligible to register for the chance to win a prize pack from momslikeme.com.

Thursday marks the third meeting of the season between the Mudbugs and Thunder, who have lost a CHL record-tying 21 consecutive games coming into this week. The 'Bugs swept a set of back-to-back games over Wichita at the Kansas Coliseum earlier this year, winning 6-2 and 3-2 on December 18 and 19. The Thunder come to town a total of three times this season.
