The Bucks can gain ground on Texas for third place in the Southern Conference with a win Wednesday. Laredo enters Wednesday's game four points behind the Brahmas and are three points ahead of Rio Grande Valley for fourth place.
Laredo has always struggled in Colorado as they have posted just a 1-8 record all-time (including playoffs) at the Budweiser Events Center. The Bucks only win in Colorado was on Jan. 24, 2007 when they beat the Eagles 3-1.
The Bucks beat the Eagles 6-5 in a shootout on January 9th when they scored a season-high five power-play goals in the game.
The Bucks snapped their five-game road winless streak last Friday (Jan. 15th) with a 6-2 win at Rio Grande Valley. The Bucks have not won back-to-back road games since November 6th-7th when they won two straight in Arizona.
Colorado enters Wednesday's game tied for first-place in the Northern Conference with Rapid City. The Eagles and Rush both have 49 points with Colorado having one game in hand over Rapid City.
The Eagles swept a two-game series with the Mudbugs over the weekend.
Colorado boasts two of the top three scorers in the CHL with Kevin Ulanski and Riley Nelson. Ulanski leads the league with 55 points (19-3655) while Nelson is third with 49 (18-3149).
The Bucks will meet the Eagles again on Friday before traveling to Rapid City on Saturday.
**BUCKS MAKE ROSTER MOVES**
The Bucks made several roster moves Monday prior to leaving for Colorado. Laredo activated Neil Trimm from the 14-day IR, placed Justin Styffe on the 30-day IR while releasing Cody Hamilton after suspending him for the season.
Trimm missed the Bucks last four games after being placed on the IR on January 3. Trimm has scored a point in seven of the Bucks last 10 games and has 12 (6-612) on the season.
Styffe was placed on the 30-day IR after suffering a lower-body injury in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Corpus Christi.
Styffe leads the Bucks in PIM's with 107 and put up 16 points this season (7-916).
The Bucks activated Hamilton from team suspension and released him from the roster. Hamilton was placed on team suspension on December 26th.
**PINK IN THE RINK JAN. 29**
The Bucks will host their second annual "Pink in the Rink" game on Friday January 29th at the LEC. If the game is sold out the Bucks will donate $10,000 to WINGS. WINGS (Women Involved in Nurturing, Giving and Sharing) helps uninsured or underinsured women of Laredo receive treatment for breast cancer.
