Missouri's Bill Vandermeer Voted Top Performance

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Missouri Mavericks forward Bill Vandermeer has been voted the winner of the CHL Performance of the Week. The win comes after he scored the game-tying goal late in the third period and then finished off the Mavs 4-3 win with the shootout game winner versus Bossier-Shreveport on January 5.

The Caroline, Alberta native received more than 50% of the votes netting 328 votes during the weekly poll finishing ahead of Rapid City's Jamie VanderVeeken who scored an overtime game winner in his team's win over the Mudbugs on January 8. VanderVeeken earned 145 of the 635 votes cast in the poll.

The nominees for the CHL Performance of the Week for week 14 of the season for the period beginning on January 11 and ending on January 17 are as follows:

-Colorado's Adam Hogg scoring two goals in first three minutes of 5-4 win over Mudbugs on Jan. 16

-Amarillo's Jake Morissette scoring two goals and two assists in win over Arizona on Jan. 15

-Corpus Christi's Kevin Nastiuk making 35 saves in 1-0 win over Laredo on Jan. 16

-Missouri's Jeff Christian scoring two goals with two assists in Mavs 5-4 win vs. Mississippi on Jan. 16

-Odessa's Jean Bourbeau scoring shorthanded game winning goal with six seconds remaining vs. Corpus Christi on Jan. 15

Fans can vote for the winner until Monday, January 25 with the winner being announced on Tuesday, January 26.
