
Mud Hens Fall in Close Game with Indians

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo Mud Hens dropped a close game to the Indianapolis Indians, 6-4 on Wednesday night at Fifth Third Field.
Mikie Mahtook and Ronny Rodriguez each belted a homerun in the Mud Hens (48-61) loss to the Indians (55-53).
Indianapolis struck first as Jake Elmore singled to score Pablo Reyes with two outs in the second inning. The Indians added three runs in the fourth inning on four hits including two doubles.
Mahtook cut the Toledo deficit in half with a two-run bomb in the bottom of the fourth inning.

In the top of the fifth inning Kevin Kramer hit a solo homerun to give Indianapolis a 5-2 lead. Toledo manager Doug Mientkiewicz was ejected after arguing a play where Dustin Peterson was injured and exited the game from first base. Pete Kozma entered the game to replace the injured Peterson.
Daz Cameron tripled in the bottom half of the inning and scored on a double by Jacob Robson.
The next inning, Rodriguez blasted a 417-foot homerun to bring the Mud Hens within a run, 5-4.
Indianapolis loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh inning and scored a run on a 6-3 double play.
The Mud Hens could not mount a come back and fell 6-4 to the Indians.
What's Next:
The Toledo Mud Hens are back in action Thursday night against the Indianapolis Indians with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. at Fifth Third Field.
