Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the United Hockey League and 2005-06 Central Division, Tarry Cup and Colonial Cup Champions, announce the promotions schedule for the upcoming weekend.
Kalamazoo's Harold Ziegler Auto Group K-Wings Karavan, along with everyone's favorite mascot Slappy will be in the holiday spirit this Saturday, November 6th during the 44th Annual Kalamazoo Holiday Parade.
The parade will commence at 11 a.m. and will travel through downtown Kalamazoo. The K-Wings will bring holiday cheer to the fans, as well as promoting upcoming games including their game later that evening at Wings Stadium against the Flint Generals at 7:30 p.m.
On Monday, K-Wings Captain Nick Bootland will be joined by Tyler Willis, Jeff Brown and Chris McAllister in a visit to Bronson Children's Hospital from 2-4 p.m. The K-Wings look to brighten the day of patients around the children hospital. Accompanying the players will be Slappy.
The K-Wings will be returning to Bronson in December to deliver stuffed animals from the Seventh Annual Teddy Bear Toss game presented by Kodiak Construction, WOTV and WKFR. This year's game will be held on Saturday, December 16th, when Kalamazoo is slated to host arch-rivals, the Fort Wayne Komets. During the past six years, the K-Wings have collected thousands of stuffed animals donated to children during the holidays.
