Sutton and Cadotte assisted Jeff Cameron to the Flags' second goal at 8:32, and then Trevor Edwards scored at 14:22, assisted by Craig Mahon. Goalie Dustin Traylen was pulled in the last minute, in an effort to tie the game, but Robinson's empty-net goal at 19:50 sealed the deal for the Fury.

Rob Snowball scored the only goal of the second period at 4:56, from Trevor Edwards and Jeff Cameron. The Mallards tied up the game 3:36 into the third, but Ryan Markham, who was playing his first game after coming off IR, lit up the crowd and the scoreboard when he sent the puck past Jason Tapp, unassisted and shorthanded at 8:58. Snowball's second goal of the night, at 16:52, off assists from Mark Cadotte and Edwards, solidified the Flags first home win in the regular season.
Sunday, Oct. 29 Kalamazoo 3 vs. Port Huron 2 (SO)
The third period started to look bad for the Flags, as a slashing call on Josh Elzinga led to the second power play goal by Justin Cross at 5:57, assisted by Shawn Snider and Alexander Valentin. Down 2-0, with the penalties against them, the Flags battled back. Assistant Ryan Markham scored his second goal of the year at 10:47, on an assist from B.J. Adams. McMorran Arena exploded, the fans came to life and Colt King netted his second goal of the year 20 seconds later, assisted by Jeremy Tucker. At 11:07 in the third, the Flags made a game of it, tying up the score. With only seconds left in the period, Noah Ruden made an unbelievable glove save to send the Flags into their second shoot-out of the year.
