Tonight's New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) contest between the Vermont Mountaineers and Mystic Schooners has been postponed due to impending weather in central Vermont. The game will be made up Sunday, July 6, at Recreation Field, with the first pitch set for 6:30 p.m.
The Mountaineers are back in action on Friday, July 4, when they travel to North Adams, Massachusetts, to battle the SteepleCats. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The game can be heard locally on CBS Sports 1240 WSKI and online at thevermontmountaineers.com.
Vermont will next play at home on Saturday, July 5, when they host the Laconia Muskrats at 6:30 p.m. CE Wendal Electric will sponsor the game on Seinfeld night, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the show. A drawing will be held for a signed Robin Roberts jersey, and baseball legend Jim Kaat will be in attendance to throw out the first pitch.
