The Keene Swamp Bats matched their longest winning streak of the season with their fourth straight win on Wednesday night, this one a 7-0 decision over the team with the best record in the NECBL, the Plymouth Pilgrims.

Keene improves to 10-10 on the year, while Plymouth drops to 15-4.

Robbie Coman (Virginia) delivered a solo shot in his first at-bat with the Swamp Bats, giving the visitors an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second and they wouldn't look back from there.

The Swamp Bats would add a pair in the third with a bases-loaded walk to Zach Lauricella (St. John's) and a sacrifice fly from Dominic Severino (Central Conn State).

Three more runs would cross home plate for Keene in the top half of the fifth as Jarred Mederos (St. John's) knocked a solo blast to left, his first of the season, Lauricella plated Ryan Summers (Louisville) with an RBI ground-rule double and later scored on an RBI groundout by Alex Liquori (Kennesaw State).

After Mederos doubled with one away in the ninth, Summers drove in the seventh and final run of the night for the Swamp Bats with a double of his own to score Mederos.

Five pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout for Keene: Alex Robinson (Maryland), Michael Dunnigan (St. Leo), Matthew Crohan (Winthrop), Sam Triece (Washington State) and Ben Criscuolo (Southern NH). Dunnigan pitched the fifth and sixth innings and was credited with the win, he goes to 1-2 on the year.

Robinson started the game and went the first four innings for the Swamp Bats, working four innings and not allowing a run on four hits, walking five and striking out six.

Plymouth had just one hit after the fourth inning, a one-out single by Brent Rooker (Mississippi State) in the eighth.

Kurt Sowa (Rider) was dealt the loss for the Pilgrims, lasting just four innings and allowing five runs on three hits, walking five and striking out two.

The Swamp Bats had Thursday's game vs. the North Adams SteepleCats postponed, and will look to make it five in a row in a special Fourth of July matinee at Laconia on Friday. First pitch is at 12:30 p.m.
