Rain Stops Doubleheader

Keene Swamp Bats News Release


NORTH ADAMS, MA- The Keene SwampBats (21-18) and the North Adams SteepleCats (14-25) were locked in a pitcher's duel through 3 2/3 innings in Game 1 of a double header at Joe Wolfe Field on Saturday before rain stopped play.

Jake McLinskey (Kennesaw State) tossed three innings of shutout baseball, giving up one hit. The 'Bats were held to one hit against SteepleCats lefthander Joe Kemlage before a torrential downpour suspended play for the evening.

This evening's suspended game will pick back up in Keene on Tuesday July 31st, at 2 p.m. Upon completing the suspended game, Keene and North Adams will play a doubleheader, consisting of two seven inning games.

Keene will return to action on Monday, July 30th to take on the Ocean State Waves at Alumni Field. This is a makeup game from July 25th. As always, you can watch those games on the NECBL Broadcast Network and listen on FM 104.1 AM 1220 Fox Sports Keene.
