Blue Sox, AP Development to Hold Youth Player Camps July 21-24

HOLYOKE, MA - The Valley Blue Sox and AP Player Development will hold a four-day summer camp for youth baseball players and teams in the Pioneer Valley from July 21-24.

The camp will feature a skill development program and include 2 tickets per every registrant to the NECBL All Star Game held at Mackenzie Stadium on July 20th featuring some of the best players in college baseball!

The camp will be led by former Blue Sox player and coach Peter Fatse. Fatse, who played college baseball for the University of Connecticut and was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers, is a native of Holyoke and spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons with the team as a player and was an assistant coach for the 2013 season.

The goal of the Weekly Summer Camp is to provide quality instruction to baseball players of all

abilities. Through professional instruction from the AP Coaching Staff as well as Valley Blue Sox

coaches and players, the camp combines a core training philosophy with a great atmosphere to ensure

all of the players get the most out of their experience.

The cost for individual players is $120; teams of six or more can register players for $99 each.

The camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on July 21-24.

The 2014 season will represent the Blue Sox seventh season in the Pioneer Valley, playing at Mackenzie Stadium in Holyoke. The Blue Sox have been a member of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL; www.necbl.com ) since 2008. The NECBL is funded in part by Major League Baseball and is comprised of 12 teams throughout all six New England states who recruit the elite athletes and premier pro prospects from around the world.
