Arkansas Travelers News Release

North Little Rock - Second baseman Ryan Mount is injured again. For the second time this season, Mount has been placed on the disabled list, this time with a right foot strain. He missed seven games earlier this season with a hip flexor.

Mount currently has a .329 average, five homeruns, 34 RBIs, 27 runs, nine stolen bases, and a .401 on-base percentage.

Since 2007, Mount has missed over seven months worth of games due to a variety of injuries. He missed almost eight weeks last season, about two months in 2009, missed the first two months of the season in 2008 with Rancho Cucamonga, and missed a month and a half with Cedar Rapids in 2007.

Infielder Mitch Blackburn has been called up from the Inland Empire 66ers to take Mount's roster spot. In 17 games with IE, Blackburn has a .239 average with no homeruns and one RBI. He had a three-game hitting streak before he left. In two seasons with the San Diego State Aztecs, he hit .343. He signed as a free agent with the Angels in July 2010.
