Morales Fans 10 In Win

18-year old Francisco Morales struck out 10 West Virginia batters over 5.0 innings of work, recording his 2nd win of the season in the process.

Jose Jimenez and Keylan Killgore combined for 4.0 innings of shutout relief, striking out six batters along the way. Killgore earned his first save of the season. The Cutters pitchers set a new season-high with 16 strikeouts.

Danny Mayer collected his 2nd, 3-hit game of the season, first since Opening Night, finishing 3 for 5 with a double and two RBI, giving him 8 runs batted in on the season.

Brayan Gonzalez took the team lead in RBI, providing a two-run single in the 2nd inning, giving him 12 runs batted in on the season. Ben Aklinski recorded two hits and a RBI in his Crosscutters debut, joining the Cutters this afternoon.

The win snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Crosscutters and improved their road record to 3-7 on the year, just before their three-game series in Niles, Ohio against Mahoning Valley.
