April 5, 2011 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Manitoba Moose News Release

The Manitoba Moose announced today they have signed defenceman Adam Polasek to an amateur tryout contract.

Polasek, 19, just completed his second season of junior hockey with the P.E.I. Rocket where he finished second amongst defencemen on the team in scoring with 39 points (7g, 32a) in 61 games. In two seasons with the Rocket, Polasek scored 80 points (20g, 60a) and recorded 150 penalty minutes in 127 games.

The native of Ostrava, Czech Republic joins the Moose following P.E.I.'s recent elimination in the first round of the QMJHL playoffs. The Rocket lost their best-of-seven series to the Shawinigan Cataractes in five games, during which Polasek recorded no points and eight penalty minutes.

Polasek was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the fifth round, 145th overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
