Senators Recall Benoit, Wiercioch and Wick from Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 5, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators today recalled defencemen Andre Benoit and Patrick Wiercioch, along with forward Roman Wick from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

His fourth recall to Ottawa this season, Benoit, 27, has recorded an assist and two penalty minutes in five National Hockey League games. He leads all B-Sens defencemen with 54 points on 10 goals and 44 assists in 72 AHL games.

This is Wiercioch's second recall this season. The 20-year-old has two assists and four penalty minutes in seven NHL matches. He has also scored four goals and added 12 assists and 21 penalty minutes in 64 games with Binghamton.

Wick, 25, is being recalled to Ottawa for the third time this season. He has gone scoreless in six games with Ottawa and has 19 goals, 22 assists and 24 penalty minutes in 67 games with Binghamton.

The Senators next see action tonight when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:30 p.m., while the B-Sens are at home to face the Norfolk Admirals on Wednesday, April 6.
