Moose Recall Taylor Ellington

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have recalled defenceman Taylor Ellington from the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL.

Ellington, 21, has appeared in 27 games so far this season with the Salmon Kings where he has recorded 11 points (2g & 9a) and 20 penalty minutes. The Victoria, BC native has also played in two games with Manitoba this season after his first recall on Nov. 25/09.

Last season, the left-handed defenceman appeared in one game with the Moose were he scored a goal. In his junior career, the rookie defenseman played five seasons with the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League where he appeared in a career total 287 games for 66 points (14g & 52a) and 371 penalty minutes.

Ellington was originally drafted by Vancouver in the second round, 33rd overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
