Moore Shines Again in 5-2 Win

MOBILE, AL - Matt Moore hurled seven one-run innings and the Biscuits (4-5) owned the middle innings to score their first win of the series, beating the Mobile BayBears (5-4) 5-2 Friday at Hank Aaron Stadium.

After the BayBears scored one in the first inning against Moore (6-3), he'd pitch out of a bases loaded jam in the second and go on to retire the next 12 men that he faced. He finished having struck out eight while allowing five hits and a pair of walks to get his fourth-straight win.

The Biscuits tied the game 1-1 in the second then moved ahead with a two-run fifth inning, with Tim Beckham and Henry Wrigley delivering RBI-singles.

Greg Sexton ripped his first homer for the Biscuits this year to lead off the sixth. A Stephen Vogt sac-fly in the seventh completed the Biscuits' scoring.

Matt Bush (3) collected the save after the BayBears plated one in the eighth against Frank De Los Santos. Patrick Corbin (6-4) took the loss, allowing four runs on nine hits over six innings.

Sexton had two hits for the Biscuits, while Shawn O'Malley enjoyed his second-straight three-hit night.

RHP Chris Archer will face off against RHP Jarrod Parker on Saturday night.
