Montreal Alouettes News Release
Montreal, May 14, 2015 - The Montreal Alouettes unequivocally denounce the regrettable postings made by Khalif Mitchell on his Twitter account.
"His postings are disappointing and in no way reflect the opinions and values of the Montreal Alouettes Football Club, declared Alouettes President and CEO, Mark Weightman. His postings were completely unacceptable and the Alouettes apologize to anyone who was offended by them."
In addition to the fine he has received from the CFL, the Alouettes have fined Mitchell the maximum amount allowable under CFL rules for violating the team's social media policy.
