(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club today announced the signing of three international defenders including linebacker Cody Acker along with defensive backs Derrick Morgan and Jeremiah Johnson. Acker attended Morgan State University and comes to the Leos after wrapping up a notable four-year colligate career in 2014. The athletic and mobile linebacker tallied 165 solo tackles over 45 appearances, 21 of which were for a loss.
Morgan began his NCAA career at the University of Texas-El Paso where he appeared in 16 games over two seasons tallying 11 tackles. Following his transfer to Stony Brook, the Maryland native and hard-hitting defensive back logged 11 games as a senior in 2013 racking-up 27 solo stops and an interception.
